Market Characterization for LEDs in India (2012)

Bridgelux Inc., a private organization providing lighting services and solutions to the market, awarded a project to characterize the LED market in India. About fifty-five past and present LED projects in India were analyzed to determine the sectors that have the highest potential for LEDs. Import data analysis for the last year indicated a trend as to which categories of LED products were the highest to be imported and which Indian ports received the largest amount of LED products. The Indian standards for LEDs were listed along with a vast data on manufacturers and vendors in LED lighting arena was collected.

Public Buildings Energy Efficiency Program in three Indian states through ESCOs - India (2006)

IIEC short-listed high energy use buildings in three Indian states in coordination with state nodal agencies to promote energy efficiency. To do this, IIEC conducted investment-grade audits, developed bidding documents that capture the needed technical delivery by energy service companies, developed a monitoring and evaluation protocol, and technical and commercial bid evaluation criteria. In support of these activities, training workshops for policy-makers as well as operations and maintenance staff were provided.

Consultancy for design and institution of DSM plan and assistance in implementation of Phase 1 programs for Reliance Energy Ltd. - India (2007 - 2009)

This assignment consists of three main activities with their details provided after:
1. Establishing the rationale for utility specific DSM initiatives – This included a detailed study of Reliance Energy System Profile from the utility and consumers’ ends. The results of the study were utilized in developing a DSM/EE end-use opportunity matrices and narration on use of the strategies in reducing losses and costs of services .

Consultancy Services for DSM Activities in Chattisgarh State Electricity Board (CSEB) - India (2008)

The Chattisgarh State Electricity Board (CSEB) is an integrated electricity utility involved in generation, transmission, and distribution. It is a power surplus utility with several coal-based power plants as its asset-base. With a growing commercial sector activities in the state, CSEB will soon face challenges in meeting the demand and it is seen that institutionalization of demand-side management (DSM) is an important step forward.
