Project Description and Summary of Services
|
IIEC with funding from ICA-SEA is implementing preparatory activities for establishing a High Efficiency Certification Program for air conditioners (ACs). To develop a sustainable program, a good understanding of the existing market situation and level of stakeholder interest on high-efficiency products is necessary.
The task of establishing a high-efficiency certification program will involve 3 phases:
• Phase 1: Market Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement • Phase 2: Program Design • Phase 3: Pilot Implementation
IIEC has just recently concluded Phase 1: Market Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement of the program. This phase consists of five tasks:
• Task 1: Comparative Review of Energy Performance Standards for ACs in the Southeast Asian Region • Task 2: Supply Analysis • Task 3: Demand Analysis • Task 4: Institutional Analysis • Task 5: Stakeholder Dialogue and Consultation
Phase 2 is currently being developed.
