Regulatory Indicators for Sustainable Energy (RISE) 2020 (2019 - 2020)
The World Bank has funded IIEC to conduct detailed desk research and consultation with key stakeholders to collect and update all the required data and information for the RISE index to be updated as of December 31, 2019, for
Western Balkans Region which includes the following countries:
Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Montenegro.
Asia and Pacific Region which includes the following countries:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.
ECA Region includes the following countries:
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
The Regulatory Indicators for Sustainable Energy (RISE) project is a tool to assess the policy and regulatory environment for private investment in sustainable energy. Through a suite of specially-designed indicators and detailed country-specific data, RISE provides a global reference point for countries to evaluate their enabling environment in energy access, renewable energy, and energy efficiency—and what policies and other instruments they may need to move toward their sustainable energy vision. RISE highlights good practices across countries that can foster a good enabling environment for sustainable energy and support peer learning.
